Only One Year
Review
By Ms. Kessler’s Fourth Form class at Columbus School for Girls, Ohioana Quarterly
Emma thought it is an interesting book because of the struggles this family has been through. Di Di leaves, he forgets his family, and he throws a really big fit once he returns and his sisters are away. . . .The pronunciation guide and glossary in the back helped when she remembered to look at it. Annie liked that Sharon and Mary really love Di Di and really care for him. Vella liked the book. She got sad when Di Di went to China, but was happy when Di Di came home. Josie and Annie recommend this book if you like books that teach you things about a culture and if you like realistic books.
