I Play Soccer

Mary Cappellini was born in Los Angeles, California. She is an educational consultant specializing in teacher training and staff development. Mary has written, photographed, and translated many children’s books. Mary lives in Newport Beach, California, with her husband, their three daughters, and their pet rabbit Blanco.

George Crespo grew up in Puerto Rico. He taught art to middle school and high school students and illustrated several children’s books. The girl in this book was modeled after his daughter who played soccer when she was younger. Crespo passed away in late 2018.
