Christine Powers was born in New York City. She studied art at Pratt Institute, the Brooklyn Museum Art School, and Parsons School of Design. A full-time mother, Christine has also found time to illustrate several books for children. She lives in New Canaan, Connecticut, with her husband, their daughter, and their big fat cat named Pisa.
